BRG is an independent research organization that is
devoted, exclusively, to the study of God's Word from a strictly
academic point of view. Its most fundamental premise, and one that
is never compromised, is that every argument is based solely upon
personal opinion unless it is substantiated by historical, etymological,
and academic fact. Arguments not based upon these guidelines are
unacceptable to the research-fellows at BRG, and are not even given
consideration.
BRG is structured as a network of independent researchers
throughout the world who have access to the world's most reputable
universities and colleges. Critical information is obtained from
these institutions and exchanged between research-fellows through
the medium of email and faxes. This allows for such highly acclaimed
universities, such as Cambridge, Oxford, UCLA, Berkeley, and the
Hebrew University at Jerusalem, to be grouped together in a virtual
neighborhood; a neighborhood that is described, not by a street
address, but by a URL address.
Time No Longer, BRG's first published work,
thoroughly represents the academic standards that have been established
for this research organization. The author, and founder of BRG,
Michael R. Masters, has demonstrated this throughout the entire
book. This work, in particular, was designed to bridge scholastic
material with general material by presenting academic arguments
in a language that the layman can understand. This is accomplished
by basically separating the book into two parts: the first part
consisting of material that is written, specifically, to the general
audience, while the second part is written (in textbook form), specifically,
to the scholar and researcher. It is not unusual then to find a
reference section (Endnotes and Bibliography) in a BRG publication
to be nearly the same size as that of its main body (Introduction
and Chapters).
